Hear a message on my radio
I get home I got nowhere to go
Think about ya day and night
I'll be waiting so when it feels right
Anytime you want at all
Anytime
Anytime you want just call
Heartbeat faster lose control
A burnin' fever gets you alone
I need your love you're the only one
The night is passin' I could soon be gone
So anytime you want at all
Anytime
Anytime you want just call
Anytime you wanna rock and roll
Anytime
Telephone telegram
Come on over
Make me feel like a man
A crack of thunder over my hometown
I read the future it has to go down
So anytime you want at all
Anytime
Anytime you want just call
Anytime you wanna rock and roll
Anytime you need my love
Anytime
Anytime you want just call
Ooh yeah
(Anytime anytime)
Anytime you want my love
Yeah yeah
(Anytime anytime)
Anytime you're on your own
(Anytime anytime)
Anytime you want my love
(Anytime anytime)
Ooh
You can call me anytime, day or night. I'm always thinking about you, and I'm not going anywhere. Come over here, and we can "rock and roll" (have sex).
The last line of the second verse doesn't seem to fit the lyrics as well. "A crack of thunder over my hometown, I read the future it has to go down." may be a reference to Revelation 16:18 where the end of the world comes with thunder, lightning, and earthquakes: (And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake.) If so, when she finally comes over, it will be an event of Biblical proportions in his mind.
