Still Feel Your Love [James Young]

Still Feel Your Love
Written by Mic Fabus, Jan Hammer & Colin Hodgkinson

Out in the early light
Thinkin' of all the good friends I have known
Remembering all of the nights
We shared our dreams together, how they've grown
All along and I can still feel your love

Still feel your love, inside
It's something I just can't hide
I wish you could know how much you mean to me

She came in like the spring
The days were lost in pleasure, and the night
With all the joy she could bring
Her love was without measure, made me sing
Hear me sing and I can still feel your love

Still feel your love, inside
It's something I just can't hide
I wish I could know just what I mean to

You, my love, have traveled very far
And I know the journey seems so long
So long once you know where you belong
It's all within our reach, and I know
Yes I know

Interpretation

When I think back to all the friends I've known, a very special memory is one summer with a girl, and I still feel the love we shared.  While we've moved on since then I know that we will eventually see each other again and rekindle that love.

JY: "I'm not really a romantic lyricist -- it's rare for me to write a song with the word 'love' in it. The only song I've written recently with the word 'love' is 'Heavy Metal Poisoning,' in which I refer to the Love Canal. But this song had the right blend of elements for me to be able to sing it with conviction and believe in it."
