Wild Dogs In The Night [James Young]

Wild Dogs In The Night
Written by James Young

Woke last night
To a terrible sound
Four A.M.
It was the baying of hounds

Doctors', lawyers'
Pets out on the prowl
Forgotten lives
You know they're primal creatures now
Now don't you know...they're all just

Wild dogs in the night
On the loose in the hills of L.A.
Poison in their bite
Mother warned me it might be this way

We're all brought up
To act quite civilized
Expect our pets
To be quite domesticized

Some people now
They're not quite housebroken yet
Down, down, down
Is all that they get
Now don't you know...your just like

Wild dogs in the night
On the loose in the streets of L.A.
Poison in their bite in their bite
Mother warned me it might be this way

Now don't you know

You're just wild dogs in the night
On the loose in the streets of Chicago
Poison in their bite in their bite
Mother warned me it might be this way

Wild dogs in the night in the night
On the loose in the streets of gay Paris
Poison in their bite in their bite
Mother warned me not to dress this way

Wild dogs in the night in the night
On the loose in the streets of Tokyo
Poison in their bite in their bite
Mother warned me it might be this way

Wild dogs
On the loose

Interpretation

Teenagers out at night can be like wild animals.  You wouldn't know they come from well respected families.

JY: "This one was inspired by the sounds of wild dogs and coyotes I used to hear when I spent some time in the Los Feliz area of L.A. But as the song says, some people aren't quite housebroken either."
